Training band members (L > R) Toby, Max & Miles, all members of the scout movement, were invited to join the main band for the annual Scouts & Guides St George’s day service in Canterbury Cathedral on 28th April 2019.
A very proud day for them and their families. “Well played lads!”
Dont miss our Heritage Open Days and find out about the band's history and what it is like to play in a band. You can also try an instrument and enjoy some refreshments. There is a free concert on both days.
The show (band) must go on so to continue practice we decided to play Firework by Katy Perry, arranged by Michael Brown. Each player recorded their part and our IT guru, Nick Bryant (Euphonium), 'stitched' it all together. For those of a nervous disposition please look away when our band secretary, David Hancock (Trombone), finishes playing. Well done band.

We have played some festive carols at St John's Church Swalecliffe and St Alphege Church Whitstable, all in line with the current Coronavirus regulations. These were our only public engagements this year and were most enjoyable. We are sure we helped to lift the spirits of those who passed by and thank everyone for their applause and ongoing support.
